1799: 39 George 3 c.50: An Act for making perpetual an Act made in the thirty third Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled, An Act for the further Relief of Debtors with respect to the Imprisonment of their Persons; and to oblige Debtors who shall continue in execution in Prison beyond a certain time, and for Sums not exceeding what are mentioned in the Act, to make Discovery, and deliver, upon Oath, their Estates for their Creditors’ Benefit.

‘WHEREAS an Act was made in the thirty third Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled, An Act for the further Relief of Debtors with respect to the Imprisonment of their Persons; and to oblige Debtors who shall continue in execution in Prison beyond a certain time, and for Sums not exceeding what are mentioned in the Act, to make Discovery of, and deliver upon Oath, their Estates for their Creditors’ Benefit, which was to be in force for five Years from the thirteenth Day of December One thousand seven hundred and ninety two, and from thence to the End of the then next Session of Parliament: And whereas the said Act has been found useful and beneficial, and it is expedient the same should be made perpetual;’ Be it therefore enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same,
[made perpetual.]
That the said Act shall be, and the same is hereby made perpetual.
