Scotland

The Records of the Parliaments of Scotland site has a Table of Statutes up until the Union of 1707, as does Wikipedia. The former has the advantage of links to either the text of the act or its discussion in Parliament. The ‘Interregnum’ acts of 1633 – 1660 are ommitted from the former, and are incomplete for the latter.

The Internet Archive has the volume  “The Acts of the Parliaments of Scotland, 1424 – 1707” (1908) in multiple formats, as well as Alexander’s “An Abridgement of the Acts of the Parliaments of Scotland” which contains various useful supporting matter. Two copies of the latter volume are also to be found via Google: [1]  [2], as is the second revised edition (1966) of the former. Also on Google are the three volumes of the 1682-3 collection edited by Murray: [1]  [2] [3], and a collection from 1597.

Some acts are to be found on the Legislation.gov.uk website.

The main edition, being the one that is most often used in citations, is the set issued by Royal Command in the early nineteenth century, just a few years after the English ‘Statutes of the Realm’ series. The volumes I have located are listed below.

This edition is also the easiest to use for the Scottish interregnum, as it gives full tables of acts passed between 1633 and 1660. Whereas in England the acts and ordinances passed by Parliament sitting without a king were afterward, broadly speaking, disregarded, on the grounds that they had never received royal assent, in Scotland there was an explicit act of repeal, the ‘Recissory Act’ of 1661, passed by the so-called ‘Drunken Parliament.’ This has led to the legislation being disregarded, which may be acceptable legally, but not historically.
