BE it enacted by the King\u2019s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:<\/p>\n
[Time in Ireland.]<\/p>\n
1. As from two o\u2019clock in the morning, Dublin mean time, on Sunday the first day of October nineteen hundred and sixteen, the time for general purposes in Ireland shall be the same as the time for general purposes in Great Britain both during the periods when<\/p>\n
[6 & 7 Geo. 6. c. 14.]<\/p>\n
the Summer Time Act, 1916, is in force and at all other times, and accordingly the enactments mentioned in the schedule to this Act shall, as from the same date, be repealed to the extent specified in the third column to that schedule.<\/p>\n

2. This Act may be cited as the Time (Ireland) Act, 1916.<\/p>\n

43 & 44 Vict. c. 9. 1 – The Statutes (Definition of Time), Act, 1880. – In section one the words \u201cin the case of Great Britain,\u201c and the words \u201cand in the case of Ireland, Dublin mean time.\u201d<\/p>\n
6 & 7 Geo. 5. c. 14. – The Summer Time Act, 1916. – In subsection (1) of section one the words \u201cin Great Britain\u201d and subsection (4) of the same section.<\/p>\n
