Local Acts were first started to be passed in 1797, a type of statute between the general public act, and the personal, private act. They catered for the needs of organisations, whether private, limited companies (such as the many gas and water suppliers, and railway groups) or local authorities. This bibliography is made up of those collections of local acts freely available on Google Books. Coverage is very patchy. There are more volumes available via the Oireachtas archive; I will be sifting and adding them to this bibliography when time allows. This tabulation is very much a work in progress. There is patchy coverage 1857 to 1900, and complete coverage 1991 to date, at Legislation.gov.uk.

Due to their length – I’m not sure why, but they seem a lot longer and more detailed than public acts – there are often multiple volumes for each year, and few of the years listed below are currently complete. Some of these volumes also include private acts.
